Actor George Clooney is set to make a surprise guest appearance in the answers of some of the 83,000 VCE students taking the General Achievement Test today. It won't be a crush on the Hollywood heart-throb that has many focused on the star but a caper spread through word of mouth and social networking websites to include Clooney in as many of the test's answers as possible. One Facebook site dedicated to `Project Clooney' has attracted more than 1400 members and another more than 6500."We're not saying don't take it seriously ... We're simply suggesting that we should all do something to mess with the examiners a bit," the site reads."Your mark won't suffer, it will simply leave a large amount of examiners very confused."Wikipedia's entry on GAT has been changed to include `Operation Clooney' and the pranksters have gone as far as creating a cheat sheet that links general themes with Clooney films to make it easier to drop his name. The Perfect Storm is suggested as a Clooney reference for an answer about climate change while the television show ER is linked to a medical question. The GAT is a general knowledge test that can be used to help create a derived exam score if a student is unable to sit their final exams.Students are not required to specifically study for the test, which is compulsory for students taking Year 12 VCE subjects. One Facebook entry has suggested Chuck Norris replace Clooney in next year's GAT.
