The Wollongong Hawks’ Adris Deleon has been named the National Basketball League’s player of the week for round five following his outstanding performance against the Perth Wildcats on Sunday.

The American import, nicknamed ‘2Hard2Guard’, scored 26 points in the Hawks’ 100-67 thumping of the Wildcats and also added two rebounds and one steal.
The Hawks are now 5-0 for the 2013-2013 season.
Deleon made 8-of-11 from the field (73 per cent) including 3-of-5 three-pointers, and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw stripe during the clash at WIN Entertainment Centre.
The Hawks star, who hails from New York City, took out the award ahead of fellow import guards Jamar Wilson of the Cairns Taipans and Cedric ‘Action’ Jackson of the New Zealand Breakers.
The Hawks will take on the Sydney Kings at Sydney Entertainment Centre on Friday night.
