A shared passion for the land!
What did you have for breakfast today? Whether it’s the flour in your toast or the grain in your cereal, it’s highly likely that GrainCorp helped get it onto your plate.
As we find new ways to connect rural communities with food, animal feed and industrial customers around the world, we are proud to say we’re leading the way in sustainable agriculture. We’re keen to play an active part in the communities where we live and work. Have you seen the silo art sites in Australia? Half of those are GrainCorp sites. And that’s just one of the many ways in which we create a connection with our communities.
As an Agribusiness Graduate in GrainCorp’s Commercial team, you’ll join us in a permanent full-time position based at our Tamworth offices.
In your first year, we’ll provide you with rotations across our commercial teams designed to give you broad exposure and understanding of our end-to-end grain supply chain. Rotations will be offered in areas including planning delivery, grower experience and grower merchanting.
You’ll also get to experience the impact of your work (and the connection between our commercial and operations teams), through a short rotation at our country and/or port sites, during our major harvest period later in the year.
Beyond year one, we’ll continue to work with you to build your capability and confidence as a Commercial Analyst in the team.
What will help you succeed?
You’re ideal for this role if you have a genuine desire to establish a rewarding career in agriculture. It’ll be a bonus (but not essential) if you’ve had any experience in the industry.
You’ll have a completed undergraduate or postgraduate degree gained in the last two years (or due to complete this year), in a relevant field of study such as agriculture, business / economics, logistics & supply chain management, data science or similar. Whilst Australian citizenship or permanent residency is preferred, we're happy to hear from candidates with a long-term valid work visa (post-study, regional sponsored or similar).
In addition to providing proof of working rights, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a national police check.
