Legal Contracts Manager

Your new role
An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Contracts Manager to join the team to provide legal advice on a broad range of contractual matters for the largest division within the organisation. You will serve as the subject matter expert for internal stakeholders on day-to-day matters, including interpreting all contractual documents with third parties and joint venture parties, and keeping up to date on all contract, commercial, and legal developments within the business unit.

This will include:

• preparing all contract documents (including contract variations, notices and formal correspondence) and ensuring they full comply with the organisation's policies, procedures and applicable legal requirements;
• liaising with internal and external legal advisors in respect of contractual issues and disputes;
• proactively supporting and managing the delivery of contractual operations;
• supporting the organisation with internal governance, compliance and risk review processes.

What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a current Australian Practising Certificate and have a minimum of 5 years' PAE, with superior contract drafting and negotiation skills. You will have demonstrated commercial experience gained in another projects of contracts-based environment with the ability to work autonomously on complex matters. Previous experience with government contracts will be highly regarded. You will also possess strong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, and excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
