Legal Counsel - Property & Commercial

Your new role
As a member of a high performing and collegiate in-house legal team, this role will see you providing high-quality legal advice to the organisation across all areas of law affective its business and operations, with a focus on the property law related aspects of those organisations. This will include:

• Advising on and supporting property transactions such as acquisitions and disposals;
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating property related documents such as leases and licences;
• Advising on facilities management matters, access issues and environmental services matters;
• Drafting, negotiating and advising various commercial agreements (including major contracts);
• Dispute resolution and litigation management;
• Managing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and external counsel.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a current Australian Practising Certificate with 4-6 years' PAE predominantly in property and commercial law, ideally with training from a mid-tier or top-tier law firm. High quality legal drafting and negotiation skills are essential, as are excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with diverse stakeholders.
