A fantastic school based on Sydney's North Shore are now looking for a general hand to join their maintenance team.
The School is in a fantastic location within close proximity to various modes of public transport. You will be working as part of the Maintenance Department to provide day to day service to support the delivery of academic programs and events.
Your new role
Reporting to the Property Manager, your duties will include identifying and carrying out general building and grounds maintenance
- Basic carpentry and plumbing
- Replacing light bulbs
- Event set-up and moving furniture
- Helping with deliveries
Dealing with ad-hoc requests from staff.
You will be required to work as a member of a team as well as using initiative to work independently where required.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be able to work as part of a team and have strong communication skills. Customer service is a big part of the role so you must have a positive, can-do attitude along with good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of workplace health and safety practice is also a must and the ideal candidate will have experience in the building or maintenance industry, along with basic computer skills.
