Maintenance Technician

2XM Recruit are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician  for an exciting permanent opportunity to join our client’s manufacturing facility in Bibra Lake. Due to the rapid growth within the  industry, this position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to share their expertise and have a major impact on production outcomes.

This role will see the successful candidate secure a permanent position within an established brand with a solid work history in WA.  The position is a skilled position and would suit a Mechanical Fitter with some welding experience oe a Boilermaker / Welder with some fitting experience.

Key Responsibilities 

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assembly, dis-assembly overhaul, repair and adjustment of manufacturing and associated processing equipment (Cage welding machines, moulds, etc).
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance on plant equipment (both fixed and mobile).
• General factory maintenance tasks including but not limited to welding, torching and lubricating machinery, etc.
• Breakdowns, fault finding and arranging repairs.
• May perform labour intensive activities involved with maintaining the plant and the area around the plant or as needed by the management.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximise production and minimise interruptions.
• Monitor and review the plant to identify problems and ensure safety and product compliance.
• Document and record information.
• General workshop duties which will include stocktaking and forklift operation.

To be considered for the Fitter position you will require

• Australian recognised Trade Cert
• Previous workshop / manufacturing / process experience
• Good work ethic
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Forklift licence or willing to obtain one
