Mechanical Fitter required for

Company
We are currently working with a well known waste management company who have a strong history in the Australian market and are still Australian owned. Due increase demand they are looking for 3 experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a perm basis and the ability to work over multiple sites in greater Melbourne.

Role

• Check operator daily prestart forms on a daily basis and carry out rectification works required
• Prioritise and coordinate repairs through Site Managers/Supervisors
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance checks on plant and equipment
• Respond to break downs immediately
• Find and fix faults
• Determine plant & equipment's condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests and identifying worn and damaged parts
• Correct plant defects
• Verify plant & equipment performance
• Repair and maintain hydraulic systems

Requirements

• Heavy Mechanical Trade Certificate (Plant & Machinery) or similar qualification
• 2 years + experience in a similar role and industry
• Strong experience in fault finding and diagnosing
• Experience diagnosing and rectifying mechanical problems
• Must have own tools and transport
• Whilst not required a current HR license is preferrable
