Families poured onto the Woonona Primary School grounds, where the kids shone as the stars of the show.
Each school grade eagerly jumped at the chance to entertain the crowd, belting out their favourite Christmas carols.
Event volunteer Dal Proudfoot said the night had been a joyful occasion and very well attended.
"It was pretty amazing," Mr Proudfoot said.
"It was great looking across the grass and seeing families all sitting together and singing."
Organised by the school and Woonona Presbyterian Church, the carols proved a magical milestone for the youngsters in their Christmas countdown.
The night ended on a suitably jovial note, with carollers tackling timeless classic Joy to the World.
"I think that's a fitting way to end the Christmas carols," Mr Proudfoot said.
