The man, in his 60s, is expected to make a full recovery.
He was admitted to Wollongong Hospital yesterday after an extraordinary chain of events led to his rescue at Storm Bay. A diving partner raised the alarm about 8.30am yesterday after noticing the man motionless in the water.
He was brought back to life due to the combined efforts of holidaymakers, an off-duty paramedic, a lifesaver, lifeguards, paramedics and Kiama SES crew members.
