Summer days: the joy of childhood holidays

For Dr Lotte Latukefu, childhood summers meant mango trees and exotic feasts in Tonga. 

For Rachel Foster, it was the sandy shores of Mollymook. 

And for Dr Declan Mulvaney, it was the rambling gardens and sweet confectionary of coastal Ireland.

Summer holidays mean many things to many people, but one thing they all have in common is a sense of freedom. The freedom of spending hours eating chocolate Paddlepops on the sand. The freedom of camping under the stars. The freedom of new adventures, new friends and, often, new freckles.
