Students aiming to attend university this year have now discovered if they have landed their first choice after the offers were made available at 9pm.
It is the largest round of offers made by the University Admissions Centre (UAC), with further offers to be made next month in the late and final rounds.
Students who do not land their first choice of course are urged not to despair as there are alternate routes available to landing a spot in their dream course.
UAC has released the names of applicants who have been offered places in courses at the University of Wollongong.
Applicants’ names and course codes are listed.
The offers list does not include:
• offers to students who have requested that their names not be published,
• offers to applicants who applied directly to UOW,
• offers to postgraduate and non-degree courses, or
• offers to international, miscellaneous or non-award students.
For 2012 year 12 applicants, UOW has released the cut-off required for selection into each course.
These cut-offs are shown in the course codes key. Cut-offs are expressed as a rank, with most year 12 applicants ranked according to their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
For non-current Year 12 applicants, the cut-offs do not generally apply.
A letter ‘V’ shown in brackets after the cut-off indicates that some places may be available in the next offer round, the late round. Vacancies could also arise in some courses not marked ‘V’.
