Frenchman Greg Raoult was the first to cross the line while American Gwen Jorgensen was the first woman to finish the race.
Raoult finished third at last year’s International Triathlon Union (ITU) Cancun World Cup.
Jorgensen competed at the 2012 London Olympics.
More than 2000 competitors took part in the aquathon which started at 8am and consisted of a 400m swim and a 3km run.
Competitors rubbed shoulders with a number of international and Australian Olympic athletes including Australian Brendan Sexton and Italian Anna Maria Mazzetti.
