4.30pm: Train services have been suspended between Thirroul and Waterfall after severe weather activated rainfall monitors.
Buses are now replacing trains between the two stations. The buses do not operate to a schedule but leave once they are full.
According to the Traffic Management Centre, rainfall monitors were activated about 3.30pm.
Cityrail.info will advise when the service is restored, as will this website.
Commuters are advised to allow extra travel time until then.
