A 19-year-old man in serious condition was airlifted to Wollongong Hospital yesterday afternoon after the car in which he was a passenger overturned.

The accident, around 4pm, closed the Illawarra Highway in both directions between the top and bottom of Macquarie Pass in Albion Park.
Emergency services were quickly on scene to assist the two male occupants of the car, who were trapped for a short time.
The NSW Ambulance Rescue Helicopter flew the passenger to Wollongong Hospital.
According to a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman, the man suffered serious facial and hand injuries and a fractured left arm.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wollongong Hospital by road ambulance.
