Ritchie will be featured on an upcoming episode of Colour In Your Life, a TV show dedicated to unearthing and showcasing talented Australian artists.
Series creator Graeme Stevenson started the program four years ago as a film school project and is negotiating to broadcast the show across Europe, the USA and Asia.
"It's a lifestyle series for artists, about artists," Stevenson said. "We go into their studios to look at their techniques and their methods.
"It's really to change the public's attitude to art.
"It's almost like a learning forum, for aspiring and established artists," Ritchie agreed.
Stevenson, himself an artist for more than 30 years, promotes artists through the show and helps sell their work through the Colour In Your Life website, which he calls "the Facebook for artists".
Ritchie's bright, vivid and cheerful portraits caught Stevenson's attention after she uploaded samples of her work to the website.
"There's a real dynamic in her work, which I loved as soon as I saw it.
"There's so much life and enthusiasm in what she does," he said.
Ritchie, a graphic designer for an advertising firm, said she was thrilled to showcase her work on such a large scale.
She said the program provided a unique opportunity for artists to make themselves known.
"It is massive exposure. Your art is only as far as people can see," she said.
"It's a real platform to get real exposure and sell your work."
Colour In Your Life is broadcast on digital TV in Australia, and Stevenson said broadcasters from Spain, Singapore and the Czech Republic were interested.
"We could be in 20 or 25 countries by next year," he said.
Ritchie's episode will be featured in Season 5 of the show. See colourinyourlife.com.au for broadcast schedules.
