Nick Fabrio and Himi Perera were inundated with likes on social media during the week when the word got out they they would trade for their first two days without charging a single customer and they expect interest to really take off today.
"We had a huge response during the week," Mr Fabrio said.
The two young men moved from Sydney's Hills district to Wollongong after choosing to open their first self-serve frozen yoghurt outlet business in Market Street.
They chose the location because of the development they saw occurring in the CBD with the GPT shopping centre development and Crown Street Mall upgrade.
They are open from 11am to 11pm today and, judging by the reaction from guests at a soft opening on Thursday night and a positive response from their first customers yesterday, believe they have found something that will add more diversity to Wollongong city centre's dining options.
But what they want to do most is to create awareness about mental health and raise funds to support the work of Beyond Blue.
They both knew people affected and wanted to do something to help, Mr Perera said.
