Teens plucked from rip at Coalcliff Beach

Three teenagers from Sydney have been rescued from the surf off Coalcliff Beach after becoming caught in a rip.

Two girls, believed to be 15 and 16, and an 18-year-old man were swimming about 5.40pm on Saturday when they were dragged out to sea.

A fourth member of the group and some local surfers were able to pull the trio to shore.

Paramedics treated the teens for exhaustion before taking them to hospital for medical checks.
