Security guards charged with sex assaults

Two security guards have been charged with indecently and sexually assaulting two teenage girls after approaching them at a shopping centre in Sydney’s southwest.

Police say the girls, aged 13 and 17, were at the shopping centre in Campbelltown on Sunday when the guards escorted them to a separate area and assaulted them.

The girls returned home and told their parents.

On Thursday, police attended two houses in Ingleburn and arrested two men, aged 21 and 50.

They have each been charged with two counts of detaining for advantage, two counts of aggravated indecent assault and two counts of aggravated sexual assault.

The men were refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Friday.
