Southern Highlands fire crew heads to SA

A collection of Rural Fire Fighters attached to the Southern Highlands brigade are expected to travel to Adelaide on Saturday to assist with fires in South Australia.

A total of 27 fire-fighters are expected to travel by plane, while a second crew were due to begin driving fire trucks to South Australia today.

The 27-fire fighters are expected to remain in South Australia for a five day deployment.

Meantime, four Southern Highlands RFS members have been deployed for five days to the Singleton Area to assist with the Sheepskin Complex fire which has burnt out around 16,000 hectares.
