Shoalhaven drivers test positive for drugs

Thirteen drivers tested positive for prohibited drugs during a random-drug-testing operation in the Shoalhaven over the weekend.

Of the 116 drivers tested between January 16 and 20, 13 returned a positive result for cannabis or amphetamines.

Police also conducted 125 random breath tests during the operation, resulting in one drink-driving charge.

Two people were charged for driving while suspended, and 29 were issued with traffic infringement notices for offences such as speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
