CELEB GOSS: Kardashian, West scouting wedding site?

Kardashian, West scouting wedding site?

US rapper Kanye West and reality TV star Kim Kardashian have paid a private visit to Versailles outside Paris, but insist they are not eyeing the grandiose palace as a possible wedding site.

The couple visited the magnificent palace built by King Louis XIV on Sunday after it closed to the public, the office of the historic monument said on Monday.

‘‘I do not have any intentions of planning any large wedding event with the Chateau de Versailles premises in the future,’’ West wrote in a signed ‘‘liability disclaimer’’ submitted to the palace during the private tour.

Kardashian also signed the statement, which gave the palace office permission to release it if journalists raised any questions about the visit.

As for wedding bells, the celebrity couple have denied they intend to marry, despite relentless rumours in the press about the two of them since December.

The mega-star rap musician has a baby daughter, North, with Kardashian, who is famous for the US reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which follows the lives of her and her family in Los Angeles.

Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and The National’s Bryce Dessner are stepping away from their rock roots to join forces for an album of classical music.

Both stars have spent their time away from their respective bands composing classical music and now they have decided to team up for St Carolyn by the Sea/Suite from There will be Blood, an album of two halves.

The release will feature three compositions by Dessner, including 2007’s Raphael, performed for the album by the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra, and St Carolyn by the Sea, on which Dessner’s brother and bandmate Aaron Dessner plays guitar.

The other half of the album will be comprised of six tracks from the Radiohead guitarist’s score for the 2007 film, There Will Be Blood.

The album will be released in March.

Radio host Sophie Monk says rumours of a romance with AFL star Buddy Franklin are ‘‘all lies’’.

Monk quashed reports she’d lured the 26-year-old away from beauty queen Jesinta Campbell on her 2DayFM radio show on Tuesday.

She said the Mail Online selectively chose pictures of the two to spin a story about Franklin’s relationship being on the rocks.

‘‘It’s all lies and it’s all angles of photos,’’ she said.

‘‘If they just said ‘they’re amazingly happy’ it would be so boring.’’

Monk maintains she and Franklin are just friends. ‘‘He’s like the coolest dude, and he’s just as nice as Jesinta.’’

Sean Penn confirms Charlize Theron romance

Hollywood actor Sean Penn has confirmed his new romance with actress Charlize Theron to TV host Piers Morgan.

The stars sparked rumours they’re enjoying a relationship after they were spotted on vacation together in Hawaii over the New Year holiday.

TV host and former tabloid editor Morgan now claims Penn confirmed the romance during a chat with him at the actor’s recent charity event Help Haiti Home Gala in California.

In a column for Britain’s Event magazine, Morgan writes, ‘‘At 2am, Sean came over, and bear-hugged me.

'Congrats on a great night,’ I said. 'And congrats on Charlize too.’

He laughed. 'She’s a keeper, that’s for sure... well, I’ll do my best to keep her anyway!’’’
