A man, 55, was riding a black mountain bike south along Swamp Road, near the intersection of Jamberoo Road, when he was struck by a car travelling north at 11.15am on September 8.
The bike rider was thrown onto the road and fractured his shoulder - he was taken to Wollongong Hospital.
Police said the driver of the car did not stop.
Police are appealing for information on the crash in an effort to locate the car and the driver.
The car was black and is described as being similar to a Toyota Corolla or Lexus with yellow and black number plates.
Two people were in the car.
