CELEB GOSS: Katy Perry and John Mayer 'not engaged'

Mayer and Perry 'not engaged’

US music stars John Mayer and Katy Perry are not engaged, despite reports to the contrary.

Perry fuelled speculation they were engaged by wearing a giant diamond on her ring finger on Valentine’s Day.

But it looks like the couple haven’t taken the next step in their relationship just yet.

‘‘It’s not true. They are not engaged,’’ a source told Us Weekly.

A second source told the publication: ‘‘It was a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner for the two of them in a private spot but there was no proposal, the dinner was sweet but low-key.’’

Perry apparently only wore the ring for the night. While the couple may not yet be engaged, both seem completely besotted with one another.

‘‘I’m just having a wonderful experience with a wonderful guy. There’s no rush,’’ Perry told the February edition of GQ magazine.

Their friends are also rooting for the pair, including music legend Stevie Nicks.

According to the Fleetwood Mac star, John and Katy are perfect together.

‘‘I just saw them on December 30 in Vegas, and that’s where I dedicated Landslide to them,’’ she told Us Weekly. ‘‘They seem to be a really great couple, and they seem to really care about each other. I am just hoping for the best for them. It would be great if that relationship really worked out and they were together forever.’’

The musician believes both Perry, 29, and John, 36, have changed significantly since they first started dating in 2012.

Matt Damon bares butt for Affleck, Kimmel

Who needs a twitter account when you can send off a fax of your bare backside?

That’s the message from US actor Matt Damon, who appears to have had the last word in an online war with Ben Affleck and Jimmy Kimmel.

It all started when Affleck and the Bourne Identity star actioned off a double date for their Eastern Congo Initiative and Water.Org in a hilarious video making fun of each other.

When late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel voiced his support for the charity contest via Twitter, the Argo director thanked him but also made fun of long-time friend Damon, who doesn’t have a Twitter account.

‘‘And easterncongo & water thank you! Matt, on the other hand? Matt, you there? Right. We will fax you,’’ Affleck tweeted.Kimmel, who has a long-running joke about Damon on his ABC show, responded with ‘‘Matt is probably too scared to get on Twitter because no one likes him.’’

Not to be outdone, 43-year-old Damon sent the two jokesters a faxed shot of his bare butt.

The accompanying note read: ‘‘Dear Ben & Jimmy, here’s my fax. Love, MD. Faxtag: KimmelHasManBoobs.’’

It seems Matt Damon has just won the internet with a fax.

Bieber relocating to Atlanta: report

Justin Bieber has reportedly found a new home in Atlanta.

Speculation emerged recently that the 19-year-old Canadian singer is looking to relocate from California to Georgia in efforts to aid his emerging hip-hop career.

And according to TMZ.com he has discovered a 16,000 sq ft mansion with seven bedrooms on Blackland Road in the ‘‘old money’’ Buckhead district neighbourhood of Atlanta.

This estate in the affluent and exclusive district is said to be ‘‘extra special’’ to the star because it ticks off every box on his list of real estate essentials.

‘‘Bieber’s demands include an estate that: can’t be visible from the street, (is) a minimum of 10,000 sq. ft, (and) lists for between $US4 ($A4.44) and $US10 million ($A11.11 million),’’ the website writes.

The Blackland Road property is reportedly listed at a price of $US10.95 million.

Bieber will be in good company if he moves to Buckhead, as his mentor Usher lives in the area and so does rapper Young Jeezy.

The star previously lived in Atlanta, after he made the move from Canada to start his music career. It is rumoured the teenager likes the sense of privacy he feels in the Georgian metropolis, as there are less paparazzi following him around.

However, it doesn’t appear that the move will be completely permanent as he will still have a base in Los Angeles too.

Bieber has reportedly decided to sell his mansion in Calabasas, California, after experiencing several conflicts with those living near him.

The star has been accused of verbally assaulting and spitting at one neighbour, while another claims he egged their house causing $US20,000 of damage.

He was also accused of speeding around the estate at a high pace in his Ferrari, endangering those in the vicinity.
