The real estate photographs for this modern North Wollongong apartment look like they’ve come straight from a glossy lifestyle magazine.
The images, featuring an expansive balcony with the coastline and escarpment as the backdrop, show one of the property’s biggest selling points – its location.
The apartment at 30/20-22 Kembla Street is on the top floor of an eight-storey block of units, called Highpoint, which were built in 2004 at the highest point in North Wollongong.
Belle Property Wollongong principal Darren Kay said the north-facing apartment would attract a strong price when it went to auction on April 2.
‘‘Demand for quality apartments around the beach and the CBD is extremely high and there is a short supply of stock at present which is pushing prices upwards,’’ he said.
Most high-rise accommodation is centred around Wollongong and North Wollongong although Mr Kay said apartment living in surrounding suburbs had also become very desirable.
‘‘People want to live within a short commuting distance to Wollongong and the huge success of the Beaches development at Towradgi (a 35,000 square metre master-planned estate) is testimony to that,’’ he said.
Mr Kay said 30/20-22 Kembla Street was set in a secure complex which had a designer style throughout with quality appointments and impressive outdoor areas for entertaining and dining alfresco.
‘‘It has been immaculately maintained and stylishly presented, featuring a spacious open plan living and dining area that cleverly captures the stunning beach and ocean views in all directions,’’ he said.
The two-bedroom apartment has a sleek kitchen with stone benchtops, and a large main bedroom with ensuite and wide terrace.
Additional highlights include fully tiled living areas and access to a rooftop barbecue terrace.
The property is open for inspection on Saturday from 1.30pm to 2.15pm. It will go to auction in the Belle auction room within Wollongong’s Chifley Hotel on Wednesday, April 2, at 6pm.
