The RMS has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the event, covering the shoreline next to the intersection of Harbour Street and Cliff Road, the centre of the entrance of Wollongong Harbour and the eastern side of the remnants of the stone structure next to the Wollongong Slipway.
The exclusive use area will be in place between between 7am and midday today and Sunday.
Brightly coloured buoys will mark the exclusion area, with competitors racing on a course outside the rounding markers.
Boaters should be aware the exclusive use area extends outside the markers and caution is needed at all times while in the area.
The area will be maintained and monitored by marked control vessels.
Boaters should follow any direction by boating safety officers or police officers.
