Justin Bieber’s plans to sell his California home have been put on hold over allegations he owes $US85,000 ($A94,229.81) to repair damage to the property.

The Baby star moved out of his Calabasas mansion in January and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia after numerous encounters with the police regarding alleged loud parties, speeding in the gated community and ‘‘egging’’ a neighbour’s house.

Bieber had reportedly sold the property to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian for $US7.2 million, but a new report suggests the deal cannot close until he pays off a bill for repairs.

Executives of a construction company have filed legal papers claiming they carried out $US85,000 worth of work to fix damage to the house and the bill still has not been paid. The sale will not go through if the lien has still not been paid by next week, according to TMZ.com.

Short hair gives me power: Anderson

Pamela Anderson says she worried sex with short hair would be ‘‘weird’’.

The Baywatch babe was formerly known for her long blonde locks and surprised fans when she debuted a pixie crop towards the end of 2013.

She was unsure about her new look at first and worried it might even impact her love life.

‘‘At first I thought I looked like Anderson Cooper or like a Q-tip or something... But now I feel really powerful,’’ she told the US edition of ELLE magazine.

‘‘I have a friend who is an awesome, studly man, and he goes, 'You know, some women cut their hair and it makes them look even more masculine, but you look even more feminine... I thought it would be weird having sex with short hair, but then I kind of got into the mode.’’

In January, the 46-year-old revealed that she had remarried Rick Salomon.

The pair first wed in 2007 and their marriage was annulled in 2008, with Pamela citing fraud.

The actress has enjoyed her fair share of Hollywood parties, but is now pleased to be leading a quieter life.

‘‘The rock-star thing became very destructive, like, wow. I didn’t know what I was doing. I just kind of became that thing,’’ she admitted.

‘‘The hair, that rock-star kind of lifestyle, just living a dream. It kind of took over. It started out very innocent and then I turned into a cartoon character. And I started to feel like a cartoon character.’’

She might have moved on from her wild ways, but there are aspects of her past the star finds hard to shake.

Anderson is horrified that her two sons could stumble across a sex tape she made with her ex-husband Tommy Lee.

‘‘I don’t know if they’ve seen it, but they know about it. They know about everything,’’ she revealed.

‘‘Stupid internet. I don’t know why everyone is so impressed with it.’’

Police to release new Kurt Cobain photo

With the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death approaching, a Seattle police detective has re-examined the case files in connection with the Nirvana front man’s suicide.

Police spokeswoman Renee Witt said the review found nothing new. But while looking over the files, the detective found several rolls of undeveloped film, Witt said.

Seattle police planned to release one image from that discovery later on Thursday.

‘‘There was nothing earth-shattering in any of these images,’’ Witt said.Police took another look at the Cobain suicide to be ready to answer questions in connection with next month’s anniversary, she said.

‘‘There’s still a lot of interest in this case,’’ Witt said. ‘‘The detective went into the case files to refresh himself. The outcome of the case has not changed.’’

Cobain’s body was discovered in Seattle on April 8, 1994.

An investigation determined that days earlier Cobain had gone into the greenhouse of his large home and taken a massive dose of heroin.

He then shot himself with a 20-gauge shotgun.

Earlier that year Cobain had tried to kill himself in Rome by taking an overdose of tranquilisers.

He was 27 when he died.

Worthington and Bingle put on a united front by attending the event together and hugging on the red carpet.

Chris Brown to settle assault case

Chris Brown’s lawyer is hoping to save the US singer from more jail time by agreeing to a civil settlement with the alleged victim in his assault case, according to a US report.

The embattled R&B star was ordered to stay in jail after he was arrested for violating his parole conditions by failing to complete his stint in rehab.

Brown will remain behind bars until the end of April when he is due to stand trial on an assault charge.

The case relates to an alleged fight outside a hotel in Washington, DC in November.

If found guilty, Brown could be sent to prison for up to four years because he will have violated probation stemming from an attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, has been in talks with the alleged victim’s lawyer to negotiate a civil settlement and drop the criminal case against the 24-year-old singer, according to TMZ.com.

TMZ reports a deal is close to being finalised.
