About 10.45am on Thursday, police patrolling in an unmarked car saw a vehicle speed from Minnegang Street to Cowper Street, Warrawong.
The car increased in speed to about 85km/h in a 50km/h zone.
Police caught up with the vehicle on Wegit Way, where they asked the accused to produce his licence.
The man did so, but while police were conducting checks he fled through a nearby relative’s home, out the rear door and jumped a fence.
A police search was unable to locate the man.
Later checks revealed the man had an outstanding breach of parole warrant and also a breach of bail from March 13.
A further arrest warrant has been taken out against the man.
