Police approached the man about 11am on Thursday after witnessing him  running down an alleyway which connects Greene Street  and Cowper Street, Warrawong.

After police located the man, he produced the doctor’s certificate, which appeared to have had the dates altered.

Police conducted a check with the issuing doctor, which revealed the certificate had been altered.

The man was charged with breaching his bail conditions and using a false instrument.
