Wiseman Park's Shane Garvey and Illawarra-based John Green will look to lead NSW in defence of the prestigious Alley Shield as the Australian Sides Championship starts on Monday.
South Burnie Bowls Club in Tasmania is hosting this year's championship.
The event features the top 12 men and women from each state and territory - the men play for the Alley Shield and women will contest the Marj Morris Trophy.
The week-long event begins with the Super Six tournament on Friday then the four-day Australian Sides Championship on Monday.
NSW recently completed its defence preparation with a 3-0 (clean sweep) three-match victory over Victoria at Wodonga BC.
Garvey skipped a rink and Green played second to former Albion Park bowls co-ordinator Dave Ferguson, as NSW defeated Victoria 62-60, 67-52 and 61-56.
