A series of nail-biting matches decided the Illawarra Pennant finals at The Links Shell Cove on Sunday.
The three grades were all decided with 3-2 scorelines and went right down to the wire in each of their final match-ups.
Wollongong came out on top over Shoalhaven Heads in the Illawarra Pennant in a final-hole triumph.
In the B Pennant, Shoalhaven Heads reversed their 3-2 loss against Kiama with the deciding match heading to a 20th hole, where Shoalhaven took honours.
The Links Shell Cove used home course advantage to get themselves over the line in C Pennant, with a 3-2 win over Port Kembla.
"It was the first year they had all the pennant finals at the one club and I feel that was a great initiative by Golf Illawarra," The Links golf operations manager Peter Nascimento said.
"I think it is the way to go for the future.
"There were plenty of spectators around and the amateurs don't get that very often, so it was good to do that for them."
The home club again saw success in both the White Horse Cup and Juniors divisions.
Nascimento said The Links would welcome having the competition again.
"It is a shame we had so much rain because it is a great opportunity to show your golf course and your product to the top amateur golfers in the Illawarra, but I still think we produced a good layout for the guys and everyone had a good time."
