8.19am LOCAL NEWS: A 22-year-old man has died after a crash in the Southern Highlands. The crash happened on Myra Vale Road, Wildes Meadow, about 2.15pm yesterday. The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Bowral Hospital, where he later died.

Police went to Links Avenue in Cabramatta after locals reported hearing gunshots about 10am yesterday. Officers found two dead currawongs and a third bird with a gunshot wound. The man will face court at a later date on firearms and animal cruelty charges. (AAP)
