Newly wed Keddie enjoying married life

Offspring star Asher Keddie and artist Vincent Fantauzzo are thrilled to have tied the knot.

The pair married in Fiji on April 9 in an intimate ceremony.

‘‘It was an intimate and private ceremony to celebrate their love and future together,’’ a spokeswoman said.

‘‘The pair are absolutely thrilled.’’

According to Woman’s Day magazine, the pair were married in front of Fantauzzo’s four-year-old son Luca on Fiji’s Turtle Island.

Gold Logie winner Keddie reportedly went barefoot for the ceremony and wore ‘‘a gorgeous floaty dress’’.

Keddie, 39, and Fantauzzo began dating in 2012 after she split from her husband of five years, Jay Bowen.


Miranda Kerr’s debut single released

Miranda Kerr’s debut duet with crooner Bobby Fox will be released today.Kerr features predominately on the jazzy track You’re the Boss, which runs for two minutes and 48 seconds.

You’re the Boss was written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller and was originally recorded by LaVern Baker and Jimmy Ricks in 1961.

A version on the song was also recorded by Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret for the 1964 film Viva Las Vegas.

The former Victoria’s Secret model spoke of her love of singing with British Vogue last year.

‘‘I have recorded a couple of songs, actually, that no one knows about,’’ Kerr told the magazine.

You’re the Boss features on Fox’s debut album, The Fantastic Mr Fox, which will be released on Friday.

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke believes dragons are real when she is in character on the hit show.

The actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the cult fantasy series, says she is completely in character on set.

‘‘We’re so lucky to have such great writers,’’ she told Total Film.

‘‘They are able to make this world so believable that we never question ourselves, we just accept that dragons exist...’’

Despite setting the bar so high with previous seasons, Clarke wasn’t worried about living up to expectations in the fourth series.

‘‘I hoped we could build on everything in series three and I think we have.‘‘We are all so excited for everyone to see it now.’’

The 26-year-old is now moving onto the big screen with a part in Terminator: Genesis playing the role of Sarah Connor.

‘‘I am getting ready to start the new Terminator movie.

‘‘I loved watching those when I was younger so to get to be in one is amazing,’’ she said.

‘‘I am lucky that Alan Taylor, who directed me in Game of Thrones, is making this movie.

‘‘Taking on this iconic role is a little less scary!''

Lorde Muppet auctioned for charity

She is yet to grace Madame Tussauds but 17-year-old pop star Lorde has been crafted into another, arguably more important, figure.

The Royals singer has been made into a one-of-a-kind Muppet which has been auctioned for charity.

The Muppets Studio team responsible for Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy created a custom puppet in orange felt that features the singer’s distinctive big hair and heavy eye make-up.

The unique collectable, which was made to coincide with the release of the new Muppets Most Wanted film, was sold on New Zealand auction website Trade Me to raise money for children’s healthcare charity the Starship Foundation.

The Lorde Muppet fetched $US3,000 ($A3,211).


Tori Spelling airs marital troubles

Tori Spelling hopes to ‘‘set the record straight’’ with her new reality show which will feature her marital troubles with spouse Dean McDermott.

The 40-year-old former Beverly Hills 90210 star is currently experiencing a rough patch with McDermott, who admitted cheating on her and checked himself into rehab to deal with ‘‘health and personal issues’’.

The couple document their marital strife in the new programme True Tori.

‘‘Our family has been going through an incredibly difficult and trying time, and the story of what I’ve been going through has been told by everyone except for me,’’ the mother-of-four shared on her ediTORIAL blog on Monday.

Spelling said it was time to set the record straight, blaming the tabloid media for getting it wrong in the past.

She claims to want to have the opportunity to express herself authentically.

‘‘I needed the chance to tell my own story,’’ Spelling wrote.

‘‘At the moment, I don’t know if it will have a happy ending.

‘‘But I need to get my voice back, and this is my way of doing that.’’

In a new promo clip for True Tori, Dean is filmed complaining about the lacklustre sex life he shares with his wife.

‘‘We had sex once every two weeks. It wasn’t fantastic,’’ he said.

The show premieres on April 22 in the US.
