Police are on the hunt for a balaclava-wearing man who allegedly shot a bullet into a kitchen during a home invasion at Warilla on Tuesday night.

Police claim the man entered a unit on Peterborough Avenue about 12.30am and shot a firearm.
The round hit a freezer in the kitchen.
Police were told the man then fled the unit and was last seen running north towards View Street.
The four people inside the unit were not injured.
Police from Lake Illawarra attended the apartment and established a crime scene.
A police dog was able to track a scent to View Street, where the shooter is believed to have jumped in a car and driven off.
Descriptions of the man and vehicle are currently unavailable.
