Bulli Greyhound Club will unleash four quality heats of the Group 3 Bulli Gold Cup on Wednesday.
Victorian visitor Walk Hard headlines heat one after claiming the Group 2 Warrigal Cup earlier this year.
The heat also features Golden Easter Egg finalist Evil Punk, fresh from a big win at Wentworth Park.
In heat two, Unleash De Fear trained by Charlie Gatt, will go in search of his eighth straight win from box five.
The Mark Gatt-trained Gradence (box 2) starts in heat four, beginning his bid to become the first dog in recent memory to win both the Group 3 Cyril Rowe Gold Plate (472m) and Gold Cup.
He won the Gold Plate in January as a sub, beating Zipping Logan and heat three challenger Knocka's Return.
Bulli club operations manager Darren Hull said the overall quality of the fields was pleasing.
"The way I look at it, there are quite a few chances in every heat. There is nothing that is really wide open," he said.
Race one starts at 7.05pm on Wednesday; the first heat is at 8.25pm.
The $25,000 final will be held next Wednesday.
