South Coast surfers Sally Fitzgibbons (pictured) and Tyler Wright will face-off in expected two-metre swells at the world tour event in Fiji on Thursday.
Culburra's Wright finished last in her round three heat, sending her directly into an elimination battle with Gerroa rival Fitzgibbons. They will be first up once a call to resume the event is made.
Australian Laura Enever stood out as the day's highest scorer.
After a hold for the right tide, competition resumed with the high-scoring round three heat.
Current world No 2 Fitzgibbons failed to outpoint Enever.
"I think it's so new for us to be surfing here in Fiji. That was my first surf at Restaurants [break] and I thought, I just need to catch a wave and see what happens on it," Enever said.
