More than 430 people gathered at WIN Entertainment Centre for the 20th annual awards.
The event celebrated the success of 181 finalists in 14 categories who were mystery shopped.
The Chifley was named 2014 Retail and Business of the Year after taking out the tourism category of the annual awards. Adina Apartment Hotel was highly commended for tourism.
Also picking up two awards was The Fox & The Hair salon which took out the hair and beauty category before Amy Zikic was named Wollongong City Centre Employee of the Year.
Specsavers Wollongong won the Healthcare, Lifestyle and Fitness Award as well as Fashion Accessories and Footwear Award, a category in which Alexander Michaels Clothing for Men was highly commended then named winner for Male Fashion.
RMB Lawyers was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Best Kitchens took out the business and general services category while Mister Minit was highly commended and later took out the Homewares, Gifts and Toys Award.
Chargoal won the Cafes, Takeaway and Specialty Foods Award and Blue Illusion Wollongong won the trophy for Female Fashion.
Wollongong City Centre Major Business Award winner was NAB Wollongong, while Chocolateria San Churro and Clique Brothers won in the New Business category.
Samara's Restaurant took out the Restaurant and Bars category, Priceline Wollongong was recognised in the Shoppers Choice section, and Mobile Phone Hospital Wollongong won the Telecommunication and Electrical Award.
