Wollongong's North Beach lights up for homeless

Hundreds flocked to Wollongong's North Beach on Saturday, calling for action on housing problems in the Illawarra. The "Bring Light To The Homeless" event, organised by Wollongong Emergency Family Housing (WEFH) and students from Illawarra TAFE, featured a family fun day and a candlelight vigil spelling out SOS on the beach. "It was great to see members of the community coming together with homeless people," said WEFH manager Julie Mitchell.
