Wiseman Park Wollongong City backed up their victory in the Illawarra District Women's Triples with a win over Goulburn Railway to secure a place in the state finals.
The team of Helen Hallenan, Mary Sheather and Suzanne Wood accounted for Southern Highlands champions Goulburn Railway 21-7 in the regional final at Albion Park BC.
Sheather in particular was outstanding for the Illawarra club, who built on a 9-2 lead before Goulburn Railway made a brief rally in the middle ends.
Consecutive four-shot ends sealed victory for Wiseman Park, who claimed the Illawarra title with a hard-fought 20-17 victory over Warilla in the District final.
Wiseman Park looked to be headed for a comfortable win but the Warilla combination of Barbara O'Donnell, Patricia Orgill and Julea Morgan claimed a five on the 15th end and a three on the 17th to only trail 19-17.
Wiseman Park, however, held their nerve to seal victory in a quality final.
