Boy's head slammed to ground in Shellharbour

Two teenage boys had their heads bashed together before one was robbed in an attack at Shellharbour.

The boys, aged 13, were walking through Urban Park at Shellharbour City at 6pm on Thursday when a man approached them and bashed their heads together.

One boy ran for assistance, while the other ran across the road towards Beach Street surf store.

Police said the man followed the boy to the store, and slammed the boy’s head into the ground.

He then stole the boy’s mobile phone, and was last seen walking away down Minga Avenue towards Lake Entrance Drive.

A witness called police, who attended with the dog unit and detectives.

Police are looking for a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 30 with a thin build and dark hair.

One of the boys was taken to hospital for precautionary examination as a result of the head knock.
