The Dapto Canaries are expecting a big home-town turnout for the club's Old Boys Day on Saturday against long-time rivals Wests at Dapto Showground.
The Canaries will be honouring several past players and teams, including the Allan Fitzgibbon-coached 1979 premiership-winning side and the Bryan Milthorpe-coached 1994 premiers.
Dapto and Wests captured multiple premierships in the 70s, 80s and 90s, waging countless battles on the field.
Former players from both clubs will lock horns in a game of league tag as a curtain-raiser to the first grade clash.
Canaries secretary David Jones said it was fitting to celebrate the club's Old Boys Day against the Devils.
"Many players who were a part of these Dapto teams in a great era for the club will be attending, which adds to what is a big day for the club," Jones said.
Wests had an easy win over Corrimal last week and are on course to finish third.
The Canaries are fifth but need wins to have any chance of sneaking past Collegians into fourth spot.
