The now infamous "punch" at Cipriani has shone a spotlight on a confusing web involving Kerr, Bieber (of childhood fame and general brat behaviour), Kerr's former husband, actor Orlando Bloom, and former Australian power couple James and Erica Packer.
Footage from Britain's Daily Mail captures the alleged incident, in which Bloom (sans blond plaited locks) approaches Bieber from across the crowded restaurant, before trying to throw a punch.
The footage is inaudible but the Telegraph in London is reporting that Bieber shouted: "What's up bitch?" before the pair's entourages separated them, and Bieber left.
Other reports from the Daily Mail say that Bieber said "something rude to Orlando, like, ‘She was good.'”
The Ibiza incident could be related to rumours of a night out between Bieber, 20, and Kerr, 31, who split from Bloom in October after three years of marriage - rumours that were only fuelled when Bieber uploaded a photo of a bikini-clad Kerr to Instagram.
Socialite Paris Hilton and rapper P. Diddy were reportedly among other celebrities eating in the restaurant at the time.
But, more bizarre still, after months of speculation of a romantic relationship between Kerr and James Packer, come rumours that Bloom is holidaying in Spain with Erica Packer.
The two have reportedly been spotted on the island of Formentera, near Ibiza and are said to be staying on board the Packers' super yacht Arctic P.
These developments follow news that Kerr was seen sneaking around New York catching up with James Packer last week.
However, the former Victoria’s Secret model has always denied any romantic relationship with the 46-year-old mogul.
Paparazzi everywhere will no doubt be waiting with bated breath for the next instalment in the Pac-Kerr soap opera.

I don’t need a man to be a mum: Katy Perry
US pop star Katy Perry insists she doesn’t need a man to achieve her baby dreams when the time is right.
The singer, who was briefly married to funnyman Russell Brand and dated singer-songwriter John Mayer, is currently single and has no immediate plans to have a baby.
‘‘I want to be doing that in the right time, and that’s not in the next two years, you know? Maybe it’s in a five-year plan, but I need to really be able to focus 100 per cent of my attention on it,’’ Perry told Rolling Stone magazine.
She said: ‘‘I don’t really want to take the child on tour. Not until, like, birth through five is over.‘‘I don’t need a dude... It’s 2014! We are living in the future; we don’t need anything... I’m not anti-men. I love men. But there is an option if someone doesn’t present himself.’’
Perry also fired back at critics who took aim at her decision to dress dancers up as big-bottomed, buxom Egyptian mummies on her Prism tour, insisting the race controversy over the costumes was blown up over nothing.
Twitter followers reprimanded Perry when images from the stage show first surfaced, with many suggesting the pop star had crossed a race line by poking fun at black stereotypes.
‘‘As far as the mummy thing, I based it on plastic surgery. Look at someone like Kim Kardashian or Ice-T’s wife, Coco. Those girls aren’t African-American. But it’s actually a representation of our culture wanting to be plastic, and that’s why there’s bandages and it’s mummies,’’ Perry told the magazine.
‘‘I thought that would really correlate well together ... It came from an honest place. If there was any inkling of anything bad, then it wouldn’t be there, because I’m very sensitive to people.’’‘‘I guess I’ll just stick to baseball and hot dogs, and that’s it! ’’ she said.

Zac Efron opens up about drug abuse
US actor Zac Efron says he knew he had substance abuse issues when his hard partying left him struggling on film shoots.
The High School Musical star entered a rehab facility for treatment last year to battle his drug addiction, and he now realises his problems had nothing to do with his heavy workload but were caused by his social life.
Efron has opened up about his drug dependecy with adventurer Bear Grylls on his new US TV show Running Wild.
‘‘It was getting to the point where I was caring less for the work and waiting more for the weekend, where I couldn’t wait to go out and sort of let loose and have fun,’’ he told Grylls.
‘‘But when Monday and Tuesday were difficult to get through, then I was like, ’Ah, this is bad.’’’
He further explained: ‘‘The challenging part was never the work. That was never it. It was the sort of in-between work.’’
Running Wild With Bear Grylls features the adventurer taking an A-list celebrity into the wild each episode to survive for a weekend.

When asked whether he would consider playing the hammer-wielding hero if they decided to also change Thor to a female in the movies, Hemsworth said, ‘‘sure’’.‘‘
It could be my biggest challenge yet,’’ he joked.
‘‘And maybe an Oscar award nomination I reckon.’’Hemsworth was at the fan convention for his part in the highly anticipated sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron, along with castmates Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Evan (Captain America) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye).

Hemsworth says although there’s a bigger threat and lots of action, writer/director Joss Whedon has kept all the spark and banter between the characters that fans love.
‘‘That’s what makes it special. It is the humour and is the way these guys interact,’’ he says.
‘‘They’re the most enjoyable scenes to film - not the action, it’s that stuff. It’s throwing it back and forth with those guys.’’em The Avengers: Age of Ultron releases in Australian cinemas in April 2015.
