To celebrate National Science Week (August 16-24) the Wollongong Science Centre and Planetarium has been holding "science hunts" in which visitors can explore the displays to find the hidden clues and solve a puzzle.

Acting director Stuart Creal said almost 800 schoolchildren from around the region had booked excursions to the Science Centre during the week.
"Science Week is such an important opportunity to engage with so many other people who may not normally visit a science centre," he said.
The science hunts will continue through to Sunday.
