The Illawarra Highway between Tongarra Road and the Princes Highway remains closed.
5.45pm The Illawarra Highway remains closed between the Princes Highway and Tongarra Road at Albion Park and at the top of Macquarie Pass due to flooding.
There is heavy traffic around the Albion Park area near the road closure.

11.55am: Illawarra Highway is again closed at Macquarie Pass due to flooding.
Earlier: While the Illawarra enjoyed a respite from the wet weather on Sunday and Monday, it's back to raincoats, umbrellas and gumboots for the rest of the week with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting showers, thunderstorms, rough seas and high winds.
The Illawarra Highway between the Princes Highway and Tongarra Road in Albion Park Rail is closed due to flooding.
The Illawarra Highway has reopened at Macquarie Pass following flooding in the area.
Other roads affected by flooding include:
- Sutton Forest - Eastbound on the Illawarra Highway at Golden Vale Road;
- East Bowral - All directions on Kangaloon Road at Horderns Road; and
- The Audley Weir in the Royal National Park is closed in both directions.
Heavy rain has caused a landslip on Moss Vale Road at Myra Vale Road at Fitzroy Falls.
Traffic controllers are on site to allow alternating traffic to pass.
