The founder of Need a Feed though will take great delight in glamming it up this Friday night when she attends her organisation’s Benefit Night in Wollongong.
Hollywood glam is the dress code for the red carpet event at City Beach Function Centre on September 5 from 7-11pm.
Tickets to the event cost $150 per person or $1400 for a table of 10. This includes drinks, a three-course meal and entertainment.
Well known Illawarra entertainer Scott McRae will be the master of ceremonies for the night, which also includes giveaways, auctions, raffles and games.
Ms Harrison-Shaw said Need a Feed was raising funds to buy a food delivery van.
The Wollongong charity co-ordinates food drives to help families in need. Last month Access Community Group joined forces with Need a Feed and Illawarra businesses to collect food for those who need it.
The non-profit organisation’s offices in Corrimal and Shellharbour were among 20 food collection points across the Illawarra receiving donations of non-perishable food such as rice, pasta, cereal and long-life milk.
Ms Harrison-Shaw said this was the fifth Need a Feed event and the first time two areas had been targeted at once. Previous events have been held at Bellambi and Berkeley neighbourhood centres and Wollongong Emergency Family Housing.
People interested in attending the Benefit Night can book online at trybooking.com/72644.
Booking fees will be donated to Need a Feed.
