Passengers on the T1 North Shore and Northern Line are still advised to allow additional travel time due to congestion on the line after an empty train derailed at Central earlier today.
As a result of the derailment, trains from the city on the South Coast lines are leaving from different platforms at Central.
Trains travelling towards the city on this line are being diverted around the City Circle and are also arriving at different platforms at Central.
Passengers are advised to listen to announcements and check indicator boards as train stopping patterns may change.

4.30pm: A fire near a busy Sydney train station is under control, but commuters will need to change their travel plans as Chatswood station remains closed.
Thirty firefighters are at Albert Avenue in Chatswood, in the city’s north, where thick smoke enveloped a building site on Thursday afternoon.
The loading dock at the site and a 30-storey building nearby were evacuated.
Firefighters have extinguished the blaze with the help of sprinklers.
A nearby worker, whose building was not evacuated, said the smoke had subsided and the chaos had calmed down.
‘‘There was a lot of smoke but now it does seem to be well under control,’’ Ambika Malvia said.
Trains are passing through Chatswood station but not stopping because of the smoke.
