Following humble beginnings in 2014, Illawarra Rotary clubs are planning to support local youth with a second Ride4Rotary event on April 19.
Ride4Rotary 2015 is a community challenge bike ride that anyone can take part in.
"Proceeds from the event will go to help youth at risk in the Illawarra, and Southern Youth and Family Services," Rotary spokesman David Swan said.
"It is done in half-hour segments. It is not a race. It is just everyone seeing how many laps they can do in half an hour.
"It is a non-extreme event," Mr Swan said. It is all about fundraising and having fun.
"There will be coffee vans and a bit of entertainment. There is always a barbecue, and the shop will be open at the velodrome. It is good to be able to do the whole day all in one venue."
Rowan Huxtable, of Illawarra Sunrise, rides every day and was one of the first to sign up, along with Corrimal Rotary president Stephen Knightley.
Both are already taking donations and registrations are being taken online at mycause.com.au/events/ride4rotary.
The aim is to get hundreds of people from the community taking part.
Rotary aims to raise $10,000, and the entry fee this year has been dropped to $25.
