The opportunity gives TIC members the chance to nominate an employee seeking to enhance their executive leadership experience with postgraduate credentials.
An MBA scholarship is offered each year because the peak networking body and the university know the advancement of business-based knowledge will play a key role in the economic growth and ongoing development of the Illawarra region.
TIC is a strong advocate for the Sydney Business School and its executive MBA programme.
University of Wollongong executive dean (faculty of business) Professor John Glynn said the scholarship can be awarded in one of several postgraduate course work programs such as master of business administration, master of business, master of international business and master of science (logistics or project management).
Prof Glynn said the scholarship always attracted strong applicants and the track record of achievement from those chosen by a panel of TIC directors and representatives of the Sydney Business School was very good.
Nominations can be made at illawarraconnection.com.au/partnerships/scholarships/ and applications close on October 9.
