When Tara Moss won her first race as a child she was presented a Barbie Doll. But she would have preferred Wonder Woman because of the way she broke the superhero stereotype. During her career Moss has shown she is capable of doing anything. But like many she has had to overcome everything form the labels people sometimes give, even to describe achievements, to things that have happened to her personally. This Friday she hopes her story will encourage those attending the International Women’s Day lunch in Wollongong. Moss will also join Kerri-Anne Kennerley in a panel discussion on domestic violence. Funds raised go to Salvation Army’s Carinya Cottage for emergency housing. Moss is patron of Full Stop which helps people who have experienced rape and domestic violence.
