On Saturday, they went out on Mick’s boat “I'm on too” for a nice mulloway. It was an early start flicking plastics at the usual spots at Port Kembla.
Then on Sunday, they launched Lee’s boat “Waiknot” from Bellambi and were on the water at 6am floating baits. “Was not popular going out on Mothers Day but when we pulled this up all was almost forgiven.”
The tally for the morning from Bellambi Reef was 13 snapper, largest red was 64cm. They also caught a rat kingfish and a mix of bonito, slimies and trevally. “Huge session and lots of fun aboard Waiknot.”
The pair enjoy fishing together and sharing their skills. “He puts us on the jews and I put us on the reds. A team effort which has been working very well,” Lee said.
